Dermal Fillers in Restylane®, ArteFill®, and JUVÉDERM™

A facial filler is a crystal-clear, non-animal, biodegradable gel based on a natural substance, called hyaluronic acid. The gel is injected into the skin in tiny amounts with a very fine needle. The result is instantaneous and produces a long-lasting, natural enhancement, gentle and safe to your skin.

Facial fillers have a long record of success with many satisfied users. Since 1996, more than 1,500,000 treatments have been successfully carried out all over the world.

About the Procedure

During treatment, a small amount is injected with a very fine needle. When injected into the skin, facial fillers produce volume that smoothes the wrinkle or fold, shapes the facial contour or enhances the lips in a natural way. The result is immediate. The method of injection is fast and safe and leaves no scars or other traces on the face. For wrinkle treatments, pain relief is not required by all patients; however it can be easily arranged at your request. Prior to your procedure, a topical anesthetic cream can be applied to the area to be treated. You can also choose to have a local anesthetic injection.

Why Facial Fillers?

One of the great advantages of facial fillers is that they are long-lasting, but not permanent. Unlike permanent treatments or implants, you're left with the option of re-evaluating your needs when the initial effect has worn off. You will always have the option of continuing or changing the combination of treatments. A follow-up can be performed at any time you like after the previous treatment. For those that do desire a more permanent result we also offer ArtefillTM, one of the newest and most effective permanent facial fillers.

Facial fillers like RestylaneTM, PerlaneTM, JuvedermTM and ElevessTM are the only injectable dermal fillers containing NASHA, Non-Animal, Stabilized Hyaluroic Acid.

When a facial filler breaks down, water takes its place. When totally absorbed,it turns into water and carbon dioxide and disappears without leaving any trace in your body.

Fillers vs. Botox Cosmetic®

Botox® Cosmetic and dermal fillers are used to correct wrinkles in different ways. Fillers are injected into the skin, adding volume to smooth wrinkles such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds). In contrast, Botox® relaxes the muscles that cause frown lines between your eyebrows.

What is Hyaluronic Acid?

Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance found in all mammals that helps to hydrate and add volume to your skin. In addition to its use as an aesthetic treatment, hyaluronic acid has also been used for more than 20 years for injection into arthritic joints to aid movement as well as for eye surgeries and wound repair.

What is Cross-Linked Hyaluronic Acid?

"Uncross-linked" hyaluronic acid in its natural form is in a liquid state. "Cross-linking" is the process through which hyaluronic acid is made into a gel product that can be injected into the skin for long-lasting results.

How Long Do Restylane or Perlane Last?

Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers have been proven to be safe and effective in persons of all skin types. Studies have shown no increased risk of hyperpigmentation or hypertrophic scarring in patients of color.

Is It Right For My Skin Type?

Discomfort is usually minimal and brief. Prior to injecting, your physician may choose to numb the area with a cold pack or anesthetic cream. The entire procedure takes approximately 10 minutes. Many people are in and out of the physician's office without downtime following BOTOX® Cosmetic treatment.
